"Please pass on my sincerest gratitude for the care package. I thank each and everyone one that didn't forget about me. That is one the reasons I have stayed in the AF this long...the friends/family I have met through the years. Yes, I did say family. I received it yesterday, and boy did it bring a smile to my face. Someone said, "You got a package from your son's CDC!". I ran into the office, which is the collection point for mail, and there it was. I felt like a kid at Christmas. I even got to put the newspaper back together and read it:) There was not one thing I couldn't use over here..Great job! I hope everyone is doing as well as I am.Give him a kiss for me..the picture I have of him is starting to smear/wrinkle as I have kissed it everyday when I wake up/go to sleep/sometimes just because. Continue teaching my son the valuable lessons of life as I am unable to coach him during this brief moment in time..but it's ok to let him be a kid sometimes too:-)"

NAEYC ACCREDITATION IN THE NEWS

Recent efforts to promote NAEYC Accreditation and NAEYC-accredited programs to the news media are getting results. On March 23, The Wall Street Journal published an article, "Finding Five-Star Child Care," which included this comment: ".the primary gauge of quality has been accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a nonprofit professional group in Washington , D.C. , whose seal of approval is regarded as the gold standard by parents, educators and facilities."
